We are extremely excited to announce the inaugural Gizehfest, taking place in Manchester on February 17th 2018. This special event is a celebration of the labels diverse roster and an array of artists have been invited to perform together for one night only at the Aatma venue in the centre of the city.
Gizeh is now well known for not being attracted to any one genre of music and we are proud to be able to bring together an assorted collection of the current roster for what promises to be a stunning evening of boundary-pushing sonic pleasure.
Over the coming two weeks we will announce the line-up, starting with Berlin-based doom merchants Nadja who return to Manchester for the first time in four years.
We have a limited number of early bird tickets available at just £10 until November 10th. The first 20 people to buy tickets will also receive a free Gizehfest tote bag.
We are excited to introduce to you; Snowdrops - the side-project of composer Christine Ott. This recording is a special live performance recorded in the Archaeological Crypt of Paris, under the square of Notre Dame, on September 10, 2017.
Commissioned by the Paris Museums during the festival "Les traversées du Marais - A contre-temps", the duo has created a bubble of sound out of time, an apnea in the middle of the vestiges of the past and surrounded by a circle of keyboards. These epic six pieces are the raw memory of this timeless journey. Snowdrops dive into the depths of their sonorous sculpture; compositions, improvisations and total letting go.
It's available now at our bandcamp store as a 'pay what you want' download.

Otto Lindholm's stunning new album Alter is out October 13th and you can now hear another track from the record entitled Heliotrope.
Alter is available on limited edition 180g vinyl and download.
"'Alter' contains four rather long tracks which balance on the edge between classical music and drone ambient. They are slow, lingering and gloomy pieces of music, reminding me of acts like Kuro, Innerwoud and the double bass version of the things Aidan Baker has been doing over the years. Of course this is great music. If you are into drones and ambient but also love the warm sound of analog instruments, you should not miss out on this one." Merchant Of Air
"The structures may be obscure, but there is a definite sense of form lurking behind the shape-shifting ambience of Lindholm’s work. And through those near-subliminal structures, which tease at the senses and inch into the subconscious, Lindholm achieves something which reaches beyond the listening experience and into another realm altogether." Aural Aggravation
"Resonant rumbles introduce “Fauve” the opener. From such deep bass frequencies, the song eventually emerges from this darkness and moves into the light with such grace. Silence becomes an important ally on the spacious “Lehena”. By opting for such an approach Otto Lindholm highlights the acoustic and the electronic working in unison. Quite beautiful, the layers interact to deliver something that feels naturalistic, almost pastoral at times. Gradually the song grows in scope to incorporate vast sweeps of sound. Easily the highlight of the album comes with the mysterious world of “Alyscamps”. Hard to pin down, Otto Lindholm lets a wide variety of textures enter the mix, from the malfunctioning to the magnificent. Nicely ending everything on a high note “Heliotrope” brings it all together in a vast swooning way." Beach Sloth
A.R.C. Soundtracks' new album DERELICTION//MIRROR was conceived as an a/v project at Islington Mill, Salford. It uses the semi-derelict attic spaces as both inspiration and source material. Focussing on the notion of ruins and their potential for reappropriation, Combining a dense, multi-layered sound-world with ritualistic visuals to create an immersive, hypnotic work.
This new film and soundtrack takes us into a bleak auditory realm of post-industrial structures and traces the role of the body within these liminal spaces. Strained harmonics and industrial, discordance mesh with veiled rhythms and spoken-word narrative to create a heavy, static energy to both sound and visuals.
