Reviews are starting to filter through for ‘The Heritage’ - here’s a lovely one from the nice folk at www.rockfood.co.uk
“It's rare that i'm caught off guard by a record to quite the extent that i have been by The Heritage. I sat down with my cup of tea two nights ago, stuck the cd on, and whipped my laptop out to begin work on what would, i thought, be a fairly standard, if complimentary review.
The problem was that 'The Heritage' is SO much better than most of the stuff we're sent to review that i didn't really know where to start. I still don't if i'm totally honest. There are echos of Hope Of The States, iLiKETRAiNS and even Silver Mt Zion, but as the record rumbles on it becomes more of a heaving, living, breathing monster - exploding into a cinematic landscape the size and shape of the scariest bond theme ever written at the close of 'New England'. Guitars are doused in reverb of continental proportions, moulding huge expanses of noise which suddenly suck you back down to more intimate moments when the drums lock everything back together.
I could probably bang on for hours about the close of New England alone, and how it's raised the bar for 'post-rock' (if thats what you want to call it, which clearly i do) above and beyond anything their peers have managed to acheive - but i won't. Surfice to say, there had to be a step forward at some point, and clearly this is it.”

Ok, so here’s the new look Gizeh site, it’s such a busy time right now we decided to get on top of this web site nonsense and pull our fingers out of our arses... indeed. Sorry to be so blunt but that is the truth.
It’s turning into an extremely exciting year, new releases, tours and general good times ahead.
So what’s new? Well here goes:
We have two new records lined up for release in May....
Glissando have a new album which is almost done and goes under the title ‘With Our Arms Wide Open We March Towards the Burning Sea’. It a beautiful thing, we hope you enjoy it.
Her Name is Calla are back with their follow up to the ‘A Moment of Clarity’ single we put out last year. Their new mini-album is called ‘The Heritage’, it’s pretty long but it ain’t an album so there.
Both bands have their biggest tours to date queued up, take a look at the myspace sites for the full schedules.
We’re also planning so very limited edition freebies with these new records for the first 20 pre-orders so keep an ear to the ground for that.
Right that’ll do I guess.
